Kate-Marie is the Centre Manager and Senior Tutor at the Chester Centre, bringing over 20yrs experience in education to her role. Kate-Marie qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1999 and has worked in small animal, first opinion practice gaining experience in all aspects of clinical practice, nurse consults and supporting student veterinary nurses.

Her additional qualifications include Lead IQA, Assessor, and C-SQP, reflecting her commitment to maintaining rigorous standards in teaching and assessment. With a passion for animal welfare and professional development, Kate-Marie strives to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for all learners.

When Kate’s not teaching, she is part of the vetting in team at GCCF cat shows helping to ensure that the cats are fully vaccinated and healthy.  She has two Ragdoll cats called Esther and Darwin and a Hungarian Vizsla called Wellington.
