Jo started her career in a mixed Veterinary practice in Chepstow in 1998 where she qualified as a Veterinary Nurse at Bristol University. Jo then went to work at a veterinary behaviour practice and completed a degree certificate in animal behaviour at Southampton University.

‍

She started working for Chestergates Veterinary Specialist in 2005 as a referral veterinary nurse and was also running a behaviour clinic one day a week.

‍

In 2009, alongside Jackie Evans Head of Centre, she started the nursing school, offering a level 3 Veterinary Nurse Diploma course. Jo completed her Certificate of Education in 2010 her current role is Curriculum Lead, this involves overseeing the approval, teaching and training aspect of the courses we provide.

Jo states  ‘I’m very proud to be part of the veterinary nursing profession and I’m very invested in the future the vet nursing which I hope to drive forward through my position in education’.
